QnA
Common questions about DOORANI INC. The game is still being prepared for release, so details may change before launch. If your question isn't here, send it from Settings → Support in the game.
About the game
How do I contact support?
After signing in, use Settings → Support in the game. Replies show up in the same place. When you send a request, information about your device and app (device type, OS and app version, connection status and so on) is attached so we can track down the cause.
If you can't sign in or the game won't start, email us at doorani.com@gmail.com. Tell us which device you use and what happened, and we can look into it faster. The [Help & Support] button on the sign-in screen opens this page.
Which devices can I play on?
We're preparing releases for macOS, Windows, Android and iOS, planned for the App Store (iPhone and iPad), Mac App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store and Steam (Windows and Mac). When a store page opens, its button on the home page switches on.
There is no web version to play in a browser. It's an online game, so you need an internet connection.
What mini-games are there?
You play them with the people in your room, at the mini-game facilities in the outpost.
- Air Hockey — 2 to 4 players gather around the table and hit the puck into a goal. First to 5 points wins.
- Rock-Paper-Scissors — everyone throws a hand at once, and everyone who threw the winning hand wins. A draw means another round.
- Pass the Bomb — pass a bomb that could go off at any moment to the next player. Whoever is holding it when it goes off is out, and the last one left wins.
- Bingo — tap the called numbers on your own card yourself. Fill 3 lines first and press [Bingo!] to win.
- Quiz — anyone can ask a question. The others type their answers, and the first to get it right wins.
- Liar Game — everyone gets the same word except the liar, who gets a similar but different one. Even the liar doesn't know they're the liar. Take turns describing your word, then vote to find the liar (4 players or more).
Sign-in and accounts
How do I sign in?
There's no guest mode — you sign in with a Google or Apple account. The first launch goes like this:
- Consent — agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy, each separately.
- Sign in — tap [Continue with Google] or [Continue with Apple] and your device's browser opens. Finish signing in, then come back to the game.
- Nickname — for a new account, enter your player name and date of birth. Your outpost (room) title starts as "hello" and you can change it in room management.
On a device you've signed in on, you go straight in next time. If the Terms or Privacy Policy change in an important way, we ask for your consent again.
Can I continue on another device?
Yes. Your progress and currency are stored on our server. Sign in with the same Google or Apple account on the other device and carry on.
If you'd like to use both Google and Apple, link the other one under Settings → Account linking. If you skip that and sign in with the other provider first on a new device, a new account is created. Two existing accounts can't be merged.
Can I be signed in on two devices at once?
An account can be online on one device at a time. Signing in with the same account on another device disconnects the first one. Tap [Reconnect] on the disconnected device to switch back to it.
I lost my Google or Apple account and can't sign in.
If you can't sign in, email us at doorani.com@gmail.com. To help us find your original account, include your player name, outpost name, roughly when you started, and the email of the account you lost. Once we've confirmed it's you, we'll walk you through moving a new sign-in method onto your original account.
Unlinking a Google or Apple account from your game account is also done through support.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete it right away in the game under Settings → Delete account. If you no longer have the app or can't sign in, you can ask by email instead. What gets deleted, and what is kept and for how long, is set out under Deleting your account and data in the Privacy Policy.
Deletion can't be undone. You lose all currency and progress, including dooranium, coins, materials, specimens, research and your decorated outpost.
Expeditions and progress
How do expeditions work?
Load fuel at your outpost and head out to a survey zone. Fuel is made at the workshop. In the zone you can clear out wild robots for their loot, or avoid fights and just mine veins and explore. Neither is the "right" way.
The goal isn't a high score — it's bringing things back. You decide when to call it, and you head home by returning to the return zone at your starting point.
What happens if my system goes down on an expedition?
What you gather only goes into the company warehouse — and becomes yours — once you make it back to the outpost. If your system goes down mid-expedition, you lose that run's haul. Research can let you keep part of your dooranium even when you go down.
What's the difference between capsules and sample cases?
- Capsules come from assembling the parts you pick up during an expedition, or from solving a treasure-chest quiz. They open on the spot and give gear, level-ups and effects for that run only. They can't be kept.
- Sample cases are picked up from colonies, veins, treasure chests and bosses in the survey zone. Open them at your outpost after you return to get dooranium and specimens, plus a small chance of a hologram that only comes from sample cases. If you don't make it back, you lose them.
Both come only from playing. Paid currency (coins) can't buy them, open them or change their odds.
What currencies are there?
- Parts — used only during an expedition. Collect enough to assemble and open a capsule; they're gone when the run ends.
- Dooranium — the mineral you dig up on expeditions. Spent on research and crafting.
- Fuel — needed to head out. Made at the workshop.
- Coins — the paid currency. See below.
Coins and payments
What are coins and how do I get them?
Coins are the paid currency used in the in-game coin shop. Buying coins isn't open yet; we're preparing it for launch through each platform's in-app purchases (App Store, Mac App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store and Steam). Coins never come from in-game activities.
- Every item in the coin shop tells you exactly what you get. Nothing is sold as a random draw.
- Coins don't expire. They can't be exchanged for cash or sent to other players.
- Coins can't be used on capsules, sample cases or parts in any way.
Where can I see my payment history or receipts?
Each store processes its own payments. Your payment history and receipts are in the store you paid through — your Apple account for the App Store and Mac App Store, your Google Play order history, your Microsoft account for the Microsoft Store, or your Steam purchase history. We never receive card numbers or other payment details.
How do refunds work?
Once coin purchases open, refunds are requested through the refund process of the store you paid through. Under Korean consumer law, coins you haven't used can be withdrawn within 7 days of purchase; coins you've already used can't. See the Terms of Service for details.
Coins from a payment the store refunds are taken back. If you've already spent them, your coin balance can go below zero.
Voice chat and safety
How does voice chat work?
Join a room at an outpost and you can talk with everyone in that room. You can stay in the room and keep talking even while you're out on an expedition. In Settings you can turn your microphone and other players' voices up, down or off. On Android the game needs microphone permission.
Voice is relayed in real time through Epic Games' Epic Online Services. Voice information may be collected and used to deal with abusive players.
What do I do about an unpleasant player?
On the [People] screen, tap the player's name to open their profile. From there you can do the following — also during an expedition, from [People] in the voice panel:
- Mute — you stop hearing their voice on your device.
- Block — you can't see or hear each other, and they can't come into your room.
- Report — let our team know. You can block them at the same time.
Blocks and reports are never shown to the other player.
What can I do in my own room?
As host you can set your room to Public (shown in the list, anyone can come in), Locked (shown in the list, but no new guests) or Private (not shown in the list). You can also send guests out or force-mute them.
When does my room leave the list and close?
While you're visiting someone else's outpost, your room is taken off the room list and doesn't accept new guests. If no guests are left it closes right away; if there are guests, it stays open when you come back within 5 minutes and closes after 5 minutes. If you head out on an expedition from your own room, the room stays open.
Can someone I blocked still join my public room?
No. People who are hidden from each other by a block can't come in, even if the room is Public.
What are the "bugs" on my unit?
When you make other players uncomfortable, it builds up on your unit as bugs. Only you can see them. If 30 unfixed bugs pile up, the company force-patches your unit for 24 hours, and you can't connect during that time. Serious violations can lead to a suspension by our team (Terms of Service).
